For 25+ years, Debbie Hiscott has lived, worked, volunteered, and with her husband Stephen, raised a family in the City of Falls Church. Debbie is engaged in the issues that are vital to our community, has the leadership experience needed to tackle the challenges we face, and is committed to keeping our community strong.
E N G A G E D
As the Executive Director of the Falls Church Education Foundation (FCEF) for the past eight years, Debbie works tirelessly to raise critical funds for Falls Church City Public Schools (FCCPS) while bringing the community together for annual events like Run for the Schools and the FCEF Gala.
In the past four years alone, she has helped raise and award more than $1 million in grants to promote equity of access, provide teacher training, and ensure student readiness.

E X P E R I E N C E D
A proud graduate of the University of North Carolina, Debbie has degrees in industrial relations, psychology, and economics. She also studied labor economics at the London School of Economics.
She started her career in business development and finance, setting the terms of corporate contracts, leading negotiations for Fortune 1000 clients, and building financial skills that serve her well in her current role. Over the past eight years, she has elevated the FCEF Super Grants and Advanced Staff Training Grants programs to the main source of grant funding for FCCPS teachers, encouraging our educators to think big and create programs based on what their students need, not what the budget allows.

C O M M I T T E D
Debbie has dedicated countless volunteer hours to the community as a:

Member of both the Falls Church Women’s Commission and the GMHS Cultural Heritage and Equity team;

Board/committee member of FCCPS PTAs for 15 years running;

Coach, board member, and mentor for various youth basketball, lacrosse, and dive teams;
-
Supporter of Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation events, including the Tinner Hill Music Festival and Women’s History Walks; and
-
Supporter of Homestretch and Falls Church Homeless Shelter.
